Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get here? Via a 5 km maintained dirt road. Winter tires are required on the highway and strongly recommended for our driveway.
Is there AC? Yes, in the living room from June 1–Oct 15. Ceiling fans in the master bedroom and living room, plus stand-up fans in bedrooms.
Is the tap water drinkable? Yes! Our well water is filtered, with added filtration and ozone treatment at the kitchen tap and fridge.
Can we have a fire? Outdoor fires: bans are common in summer, we'll notify you, and fires during a ban result in a fine. Indoor wood stove: cool days only, burn provided wood only. We send a how-to video before check-in.
Is there a BBQ? Yes, on the upper deck. Please clean the grill after every use to avoid attracting wildlife.
What about wildlife? Don't leave food outdoors and always clean the BBQ after use to avoid attracting bears.
Septic system tips? Flush toilet paper only, nothing else please.
What if there's a power or wifi outage? Mountain weather can occasionally affect power and wifi. Wildfire smoke and road closures are also possible. Our cancellation policy applies in all cases and we recommend trip insurance.
